Spicy Stir-Fried Mushroom Bruschetta

Ingredients for serving

  • 20 g Onions, raw 0.13 x cup, chopped (160g)
  • 1.8 g Oil, canola 0.13 x tbsp (14g)
  • 2.3 g Garlic, raw 0.25 x cloves (9g)
  • 0 g Salt, table 0.13 x dash (0g)
  • 0.3 g Spices, cumin seed 0.13 x tsp, whole (2g)
  • 1.8 g Peppers, jalapeno, raw 0.13 x pepper (14g)
  • 34 g country-style bread, toasted or .. 1 x 1 slice (34g)
  • 0.2 g Garam Masala 0.03 x 1 tsp (5g)
  • 2.5 g Coriander (cilantro) leaves, raw 0.13 x sprigs (20g)
  • 5.6 g Peppers, hot chili, red, raw 0.13 x pepper (45g)

Instructions

  • Add red chili, cumin seeds and canola oil in a pan and heat them over medium heat until cumin becomes dark.
  • Now add ginger and sauté for a few seconds.
  • Add fenugreek and onion until onion softens and becomes brown. Now add minced garlic, red pepper and coriander and sauté the ingredients for a few more seconds.
  • Add in mushroom and continue to cook for at least 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce, tomato, garam masala and cilantro and simmer the mixture.
  • Cover the mixture and allow cooking until it thickens. Sprinkle with a little cilantro and serve it with country bread.
