Sesame Beef with Baby Corn

Ingredients for serving

  • 99.5 g Beef, loin, top sirloin cap .. 0.5 x steak (7 oz)
  • 14 g Baby Corn, whole, Raw 0.5 x handful (1 oz)
  • 5 g sesame seeds 0.5 x 1 tablespoon (0.4 oz)
  • 2.5 g Spices, ginger, ground 0.5 x tbsp (0.2 oz)
  • 3.5 g chopped Garlic 0.5 x tbsp (0.2 oz)
  • 9 g Soy sauce made from soy (tamari) 0.5 x tbsp (0.6 oz)
  • 10.5 g Honey 0.5 x tbsp (0.7 oz)
  • 11.3 g Peppers, hot chili, red, raw 0.25 x pepper (1.6 oz)
  • 1.5 g Parsley, fresh 0.5 x tbsp (0.1 oz)
  • 2 g Oil, sesame, salad or cooking 0.5 x tsp (0.1 oz)
  • 80 g cooked brown rice 0.5 x cup (5.6 oz)
  • 7.5 g Onions, spring or scallions .. 0.5 x medium (4-1/8" long) (0.5 oz)

Instructions

  • Slice the steak thinly and place in a bowl. Add the sesame seeds, half of the oil, soy and honey, mix well. Set aside for about 30 minutes.
  • Heat the remaining oil to a wok and sauté garlic, ginger and chili for 1 minute.
  • Add the baby corns and stir fry for 2 minutes. Add the beef along with the marinade. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat, sprinkle with some parsley and green onions.
  • Serve hot along with some steamed rice.
