Moroccan Beef Burger

Ingredients for serving

  • 85 g Beef, ground, 95% lean meat / 5%.. 1 x serving (3 oz) (85g)
  • 44 g Egg, whole, raw, fresh 1 x medium (44g)
  • 10 g Onions, raw 1 x tbsp chopped (10g)
  • 7.2 g Gourmet Garden Moroccan .. 1 x tbsp (7.15g)
  • 28.4 g Bread crumbs, dry, grated, plain 1 x oz (28.35g)
  • 27 g Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year .. 1 x slice, thick/large (1/2" thick) (27g)
  • 10 g Onions, raw 1 x slice, medium (1/8" thick) (14g)
  • 5.9 g Lemon juice, raw 1 x wedge yields (5.9g)
  • 10 g Beet, Beetroot, Raw 1 x slice, chopped, cubed, whole (10g)
  • 0.4 g Salt, table 1 x dash (0.4g)
  • 6.9 g Spices, pepper, black 1 x tbsp, ground (6.9g)
  • 4.5 g Oil, olive, salad or cooking 1 x tsp (4.5g)
  • 46 g Hamburger buns, average size 1 x serving (46g)
  • 4.8 g Lettuce, green leaf, raw 1 x leaf inner (4.8g)

Instructions

  • Combine chopped onions, bread crumbs, ground beef, morocco seasoning, salt, pepper and egg in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • Prepare 2 large patties with the mixture and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  • Heat a non stick pan over medium heat and spray oil. Cook the patties from both sides until golden brown. It may take 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Remove the patties from the pan and keep warm.
  • To prepare the vegetables; place lettuce leaves in a bowl and add two thick slices of onion, tomato, beetroot, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Toss well.
  • To assemble the burger, cut the bun in half and place salad leaves at the base of the bun. Then add onion, tomato and beetroot slices.
  • Top with the beef patty and cover with the other half of the bun.
  • Serve immediately.
