Ingredients for serving

  • 11.3 g Cheese, mozzarella, nonfat 0.1 x cup, shredded (113g)
  • 44.8 g Water 0.2 x 1 cup (224g)
  • 14 g Onions, raw 0.2 x small (70g)
  • 0.8 g Parsley, fresh 0.2 x tbsp (3.8g)
  • 12.4 g Squash, summer, zucchini, .. 0.1 x cup, chopped (124g)
  • 42.8 g Italian turkey sausage links 0.08 x 1 Package (535g)
  • 2 g Cheese, parmesan, dry grated, .. 0.4 x tbsp (5g)
  • 12.4 g Cheese, ricotta, part skim milk 0.1 x cup (124g)
  • 22.4 g Whole wheat egg noodles 0.4 x 1 cup (56g)
  • 76.8 g Sauce, pasta, .. 0.6 x serving 1/2 cup (128g)

Instructions

  • Cook onion and sausage in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat until the sausage is no longer pink.
  • Once the sausage is cooked, break it up and drain excess fat/moisture from the skillet.
  • Now add water, noodles, zucchini and spaghetti sauce. Stir well.
  • Bring the above mixture to a boil.
  • Then reduce heat. Simmer until noodles are tender. Stir occasionally.
  • In a bowl, combine parsley, parmesan cheese and ricotta cheese.
  • Add a couple of tablespoons of this mixture to the pasta mixture in the skillet.
  • Now sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top and slowly simmer until cheese has melted.
  • Serve immediately.
