Sausage-Spinach Rice Bowl

Ingredients for serving

  • 10 g parmigiano reggiano cheese 0.67 x tbsp (15g)
  • 55 g Baby Spinach 1.83 x cup (30g)
  • 15 g Garlic, raw 1.67 x cloves (9g)
  • 0.1 g Spices, pepper, red or cayenne 0.08 x tsp (1g)
  • 57 g Turkey sausage, fresh, raw 1 x serving (57g)
  • 4.3 g Oil, olive, salad or cooking 0.33 x tablespoon (13g)
  • 80 g cooked brown rice 0.5 x cup (160g)

Instructions

  • Cook brown rice according to directions.
  • Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add oil and swirl the pan to coat uniformly. Add sausage and pepper and cook for at least 4 minutes.
  • Add garlic and continue to cook for a few seconds. Now add spinach and continue to cook spinach until it begins to wilt.
  • Add brown rice and cook for one more minute. Sprinkle with cheese and serve hot.
