Ingredients for serving

  • 118 g Chicken, broilers or fryers, .. 1 x breast bone and skin r (4.2 oz)
  • 4.3 g Sauce, worcestershire 0.25 x tbsp (0.6 oz)
  • 3.5 g Vinegar, cider 0.25 x tbsp (0.5 oz)
  • 4 g Soy sauce made from soy and .. 0.25 x tbsp (0.6 oz)
  • 0.5 g Spices, chili powder 0.25 x tsp (0.1 oz)
  • 1.5 g Spices, cloves, ground 0.25 x tbsp (0.2 oz)
  • 3.3 g Oil, olive, salad or cooking 0.25 x tablespoon (0.5 oz)
  • 27.5 g Onions, raw 0.25 x medium (2-1/2" dia) (3.9 oz)
  • 20 g Bell pepper (green/yellow/red) 0.25 x medium (2.8 oz)
  • 1.5 g Salt, table 0.25 x tsp (0.2 oz)
  • 42 g Whole wheat tortillas 1 x piece (1.5 oz)
  • 13.5 g Lemons, raw, with peel 0.13 x fruit without seeds (3.8 oz)

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, chili powder, garlic, and hot sauce. Add the chicken strips to the sauce and lightly mix to coat. Cover and let marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes (can also be refrigerated for several hours).
  • Place the oil in a large skillet over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken strip mixture to the pan and sauté for 5 – 6 minutes. Add the onion and green pepper, season with salt and pepper, and continue to sauté for another 3 – 4 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked.
  • Warm the tortillas on a pan or in the microwave. Top tortillas with the fajita mixture, sprinkle with lemon juice.
