French Muscle Toast

Ingredients for serving

  • 61.5 g Milk, reduced fat, fluid, 2% .. 0.25 x cup (8.7 oz)
  • 50 g Egg, whole, raw, fresh 1 x large (1.8 oz)
  • 33 g Egg, white, raw, fresh 1 x large (1.2 oz)
  • 31 g Optimum Nutrition - Gold .. 1 x Rounded Scoop (31g) (1.1 oz)
  • 0.5 g Spices, cinnamon, ground 0.25 x tsp (0.1 oz)
  • 76 g Whole grain wheat bread 2 x 1 slice (1.3 oz)

Instructions

  • Mix the skim milk, eggs, and egg whites together in a bowl. Then mix in the protein powder and cinnamon and beat until completely mixed.
  • Soak a slice of bread in the mixture until soggy (I like to let it sit for 30 seconds or so).
  • Coat a pan with cooking spray and heat on medium-high heat.
  • Put one or two slices of bread into the pan and cook for 2 minutes or until golden brown. Then flip the slices and cook the other side for another 1 – 2 minutes or until fully cooked. The bread should no longer be soggy but firm instead.
