Chicken Parmesan Burgers

Ingredients for serving

  • 5.3 g Basil, fresh 1 x tbsp, chopped (5.3g)
  • 12.5 g Cheese, parmesan, dry grated, .. 0.13 x cup (100g)
  • 160 g Bread, french or vienna .. 2.5 x slice, medium (4" x 2-1/2" x 1-3/4") (64g)
  • 0.1 g Salt, table 0.25 x dash (0.4g)
  • 2.5 g Onions, raw 0.25 x tbsp chopped (10g)
  • 8 g Radicchio, raw 1 x leaf (8g)
  • 6.8 g Oil, olive, salad or cooking 0.5 x tablespoon (13.5g)
  • 28.4 g Cheese, mozzarella, whole milk 1 x oz (28.35g)
  • 84 g Ground chicken breast 0.75 x 4 oz (112g)
  • 42.4 g Marinara Sauce, low-fat 0.38 x 1/2 cup (113g)

Instructions

  • Add parmesan and diced bread in a processor and blend to form fine crumbs.
  • Transfer the crumbs into a bowl. Mix 2 tbsp minced basil in it.
  • Take another 2 tbsp basil and mix it with marinara in a saucepan.
  • Into a large bowl, add 1 ½ tbsp sauce, a little salt, onion, ½ tbsp oil and chicken. Season it with a little pepper and blend.
  • Form 1/2-inch-thick patties from the mixture and coat it with crumbs.
  • Heat 1 ½ tbsp oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties until they turn crusty.
  • Flip the patties and continue cooking the side with cheese on top of it.
  • Cover the patties and continue cooking for a minute.
  • Just before serving, assemble burgers with bread, warm marinara, basil leaves and radicchio.
