Bistro Style French Onion Soup

Ingredients for serving

  • 1 g Oil, olive, salad or cooking 0.25 x tsp (4.5g)
  • 2.5 g Vinegar, balsamic 0.5 x tsp (5.3g)
  • 0.3 g Spices, pepper, black 0.13 x tsp, ground (2.3g)
  • 37.5 g Onion, red, raw
  • 19 g Multigrain Baguette 1 x slice (19g)
  • 227.5 g CAMPBELL'S Red and White, French..
  • 25 g Shallots, raw
  • 7 g Cheese, gruyere 0.25 x oz (28.35g)

Instructions

  • Place a skillet over medium flame and heat some oil in it. Now add shallot and onion and saute it for a few minutes or until the onions have become translucent. Now reduce the heat and continue cooking for a few minutes.
  • Let the broiler be preheated at this stage under low flame. Now transfer the soup in a large saucepan and boil it. Then add black pepper, vinegar, thyme and sautéed onion. Reduce the flame and continue cooking for a few minutes.
  • Then transfer the soup into 4 bowls and top each of them using cheese and bread piece. Now place them under the broiler for a few minutes or until the cheese have become golden and bubbly. Serve the dish immediately.
