Banana-Almond Butter French toast Sandwiches

Ingredients for serving

  • 26 g multigrain bread 1 x 1 slice (26g)
  • 25 g Egg, whole, raw, fresh 0.5 x large (50g)
  • 0 g Oil, PAM cooking spray, original 0.25 x spray , about 1/3 second (1 NLEA serving) (0g)
  • 29.5 g Bananas, raw 0.25 x medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) (118g)
  • 5 g Syrups, maple 0.25 x tbsp (20g)
  • 5.9 g Almond butter 0.03 x cup (236g)
  • 15 g Almond Milk, Original, .. 0.06 x 1 cup (240g)
  • 0.1 g Spices, cinnamon, ground 0.06 x tsp (2g)
  • 2 g Vanilla extract 0.5 x tsp (4g)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and almond milk.
  • In another bowl, combine maple syrup and almond butter.
  • Cut the banana into 4 thin slices, lengthwise. Again cut the slices into halves.
  • Spread almond butter evenly on bread slices.
  • Place 4 banana pieces over 2 bread slices. Place the remaining bread slices over banana, sandwiching bananas and almond butter inside.
  • Set the sandwich grill to 425 degrees Fahrenheit / 220 degrees Celsius.
  • Dip the sandwiches in egg mixture, let the excess drip off. Now coat the grill with cooking spray.
  • Arrange sandwiches on the grill and place the sandwich presser over the sandwiches to flatten them.
  • Allow the sandwiches to cook for a few minutes.
  • Once the sandwiches are brown on the outside, remove them from the grill and place them on a flat board. Cut them diagonally and serve hot.
